In its early years, Baliuag was an agricultural area because most of its inhabitants depend on rice farming as their source of income and livelihood. At present, the municipality of Baliuag is now a major commerce, transportation, educational, and entertainement center of Northern Bulacan. Its major industries include furniture, pyrotechnics, garments, houseware, food production and processing which is the main reason why bakeries and native delicacies are two of the province’s major products.
